Marion Elks Lodge Elects Officers

Marion Elks Lodge No. 32 recently installed its new corps of officers for the 2008/2009 Lodge Year. These officers shall conduct the Lodge’s activities through March 31, 2009.
Those officers sworn into office were: Ray Haines, Exalted Ruler; Jennifer Emptage, Esteemed Leading Knight; Dan Cobb, Esteemed Loyal Knight; Kathy Sykes, Esteemed Lecturing Knight; Pauletta Blevins, Tiler; Marion Owens, Chaplain; Muggs McGinnis, Esquire, Rena McGinnis, Secretary, Kathy Moore, Treasurer; and Trustees Steve Schweinfurth, Dale Johnson, Tom Brown, Ken Leser, and Ben Creasap.
The local Marion Elks Lodge No. 32 was started in 1885, and is one of the oldest lodges in the country. It was the first lodge to be started in a non-metro area. President Warren G. Harding was a member of Marion Elks Lodge No. 32.
