Marion Hospice Offering Grief Workshop

04-22-2008  Article by:

One of the least acknowledged and least addressed concerns in our society is grief, the normal and natural reaction to loss. Marion General Hospital Hospice is offering an outreach program to help guide those who wish to resolve their loss issues and move beyond their grief to a richer quality of life.

This 12-week program, the Grief Recovery Outreach Program, is conducted by Joanie Worthen, RN, BSN, bereavement coordinator and Certified Grief Recovery Outreach Program specialist, and is offered at no cost.

The next 12-week program begins Tuesday, May 6, 2008, and is held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Marion General Hospital Office & Conference Center at 278 Barks Road W., Marion. Registration is strongly recommended as class size is limited.

To register, or for more information, please call 383-8930.
