Marion General Hospital Hospice will be holding the 19th annual Hit a Ball for Hospice golf outing sponsored by TWIG IV, Marion Board of Realtors.
This annual event is being held in a new location this year, Kings Mill Golf Club, located between Marion and Waldo (www.kingsmillgolf.com).
This day of golf will take place on Wednesday, June 4. Golf registration is from 10-10:45 a.m. with shotgun start at 11 a.m.
Hit a Ball for Hospice centers around golf, fellowship and supporting a worthy cause. And, if you’re lucky enough to hit that elusive “hole-in-one,” you could win a Longaberger Golf Club package.
Even if you don’t want to get out on the greens, you can still support the cause by attending the dinner and bidding on silent and live auction items. The silent auction runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., with a live auction taking place at 4 p.m. Items for the silent auction are still being finalized, but just one of the items for the live auction, donated by Whirlpool, is a washer and dryer pair. Remember, non-golfers are welcome to participate in the auction – just stop by Kings Mill Golf Club to enter your bid.
This day ends with a dinner, served at 4:30 p.m. Dinner tickets are available for $10 each. Or you can be a tee or green sponsor for $100. Patron tickets, which include 18 holes of golf, two carts, and dinner for four, are available for $295.
