Four Businesses Cited For Selling Minors Alcohol

On May 3, deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, officers of the Marion City Police Department, and agents with the Ohio Investigative Unit completed alcohol compliance checks at liquor permit establishments in Marion County and Marion City.
Over twenty five liquor permit establishments were visited which resulted in four violations being issued at four establishments for furnishing alcohol to an underage person.
Citations were issued at the following locations;
- Raceway Mini Mart, 9039 LaRue-Prospect Rd., LaRue, Ohio 43332
- All Sports Drive Thru, 230 Harding Highway East, Caledonia, Ohio 43314
- Wet Spot Bar, 109 N. Water Street, Caledonia, Ohio 43314
- 3rd Base Drive Thru, 1129 S. Prospect Street, Marion, Ohio 43302
Sheriff Bailey wants to remind parents and children the dangers of underage drinking with the upcoming graduation season. Sheriff Bailey also urges parents to take a moment and speak with your children about the dangers of drinking alcohol.
