Palace Holding Auditions For Summer Musical

Veteran director Clare Cooke has announced auditions for this summer’s musical production 42nd Street.

Auditions will be held on stage at the Palace on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. Participants should enter through the lobby doors where they will register and receive instructions for the audition process.

Children ages 8-13 may audition from 9am-10am on Saturday, May 17. They will need no prior preparation, as children will audition in groups and learn both vocal and dance numbers together while on stage.

Teens and adults may audition from 10am-1pm on Saturday, May 17 and from 4pm-6pm on Sunday, May 18. Those interested in lead or secondary roles should come with a prepared piece of sheet music approximately two minutes in length and be prepared to read lines. The theatre will provide an accompanist.

Joining Cooke on her artistic team are Kristi Wink, Assistant Director & Choreographer; George Schram, Orchestra Director; Lynette Burris, Vocal Director; Barb Yaksic, Stage Manager; Lyn Giles, Costume Director; Don Wolfe, Set Designer; Rhonda Arnold, Assistant Stage Manger and Roxanne Sullivan, Props Mistress.
