The Ohio American Water Company will continue flushing fire hydrants Wednesday. The project clears sediments from the water pipes as well as tests hydrants to make sure they are in working order.
The flushing process may cause temporary water discoloration, but it will not affect the water’s safety. Running the water for several minutes should eliminate the problem.
Streets on the agenda today include: East Center, North State, Fairview, Elk, Harrison, Park, and Narrow Streets; Bellevue Avenue; and Paula Drive.
For questions about the flushing schedule, or any other concerns, contact an Ohio American Water Company customer service representative at 1-800-673-5999 for assistance.
