Elaine Evans, the manager of the Kenton Avenue branch of Marion Community Credit Union, will celebrate 20 years with the company on June 6.
Evans joined the credit union in 1988, when the credit union was known as Marion Erie Credit Union. She has held many positions at MCCU, ranging from teller to branch manager. “I’ve been given lots of opportunities throughout the years because we were small, and I got to help build the credit union,” she said.
She will soon be promoted to Special Projects Manager, where she will deal with compliance issues and marketing. She also said members need not worry about the change. “I’ll still be available when they need me,” she added.
Evans is currently pursuing her business management degree from Marion Technical College.
June 6 will also be Evans’ tenth wedding anniversary to her husband, Stacey. She has a daughter, Ashlee, who is a recent graduate of Harding High School.
