Foundation Set To Award Grants

The Marion Community Foundation has announced that over $350,000 in grants are being made available for the upcoming season.

Application are available at the Foundation’s office at 504 South State Street or on the web at www.marioncommunityfoundation.org.

Those applications are due by July 30th.

Brad Bebout, president of the Foundation, will also be holding a question and answer session for those interested in applying. That session will take place on Tuesday, June 24th at the Marion Area Chamber of Commerce’s large conference room beginning at 1:30 PM.

Along with the larger grants, a mini-grant program with grants of up to $2,500 will also be available.

Last year, the Foundation awarded $272,000 in grants to 14 projects throughout Marion County. Recipients included Center Street Community Clinic, Turning Point, Chapel Hill House, The Harding Home, and League of Women Voters.
