POET Biorefining has announced a general manager for their Marion plant. Scott Case will run the facility, which is to be up in running sometime at the end of the year. It is currently over 3/4 completed.
Case has been in operational and managerial positions in the chemical manufacturing fields for over 20 years. He has a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona.
The Marion POET plant is expected to produce 65 million gallons of ethanol per year, along with 178,000 tons of Dakota Gold Brand DDGS.
