Goody’s Family Clothing, Inc. (Goody’s), a family apparel retailer operating in small to midsize markets, announced that it has filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Among the stores planned for closing is the Marion store, located on Marion-Mt. Gilead Road. Defiance, Piqua, Bowling Green, and Massillon will also see their stores closed.

In all, 69 of the company’s 355 stores are expected to close.

The stores are expected to close some time during the summer.
