MTC Offering Real Estate Courses

06-12-2008  Article by:

The Real Estate market remains a dynamic career opportunity for individuals with the right drive and training.

During Summer Quarter, Marion Technical College (MTC) will offer two of the required classes to prepare individuals for taking Ohio's Real Estate Associate License Exam.

Real Estate Finance (REA1200A) will be offered Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., beginning Tuesday, June 24. Real Estate Appraisal (REA1300A) will meet 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday evenings, beginning Thursday, June 26 of Summer Quarter.

State regulations require 40 hours of course work in Real Estate Principles and Practices, Law, Finance, and Appraisal in order to prepare for taking the state's Real Estate Associate License Exam.

Students earn two credit hours for each course successfully completed. Additionally, these credits may be applied to MTC's associate degree program in Business Management or (Real Estate Management Option), which meets the state's pre-license requirements for the Real Estate Salesperson's Exam.

More information about the real estate course offerings may be obtained by contacting the Office of Admission at 740-389-INFO (4636).
