Council On Aging Funds Programs

The Marion County Council on Aging has announced 6 local agencies have received enrichment grants in the amount of $2,500 each.

The grant recipients were: Marion General Hospital Home Health for emergency response units, the Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission to purchase smoke and carbon dioxide detectors for low-income seniors, Burial Relief, Incorporated to assist with burial costs for those having no option, the Marion Senior Center for the Journeys to Wellness program, Marion County Recycling and Litter Prevention for an appliance pick-up for seniors, and Marion’s Farmer’s Market for a voucher program.

The community enrichment grants are awarded to special community projects that will benefit Marion County’s older adults.
