A routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two accused drug traffickers. Marion City Police stopped a car containing 31-year-old Michael D. Davis and 30-year-old Shellie D. Steffey Wednesday on North Main Street.

Inside the vehicle, police say they found about 5 grams of powder cocaine.

Davis is already facing three counts of trafficking in connection with another case. He was arrested again following this traffic stop on charges of trafficking in cocaine and possession.

Steffey was arrested for one charge of trafficking.

Formal charges are being reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
