City Council will have a busy night Monday, June 23.
A special finance committee has been called for 7 PM where they will discuss the 2009 budget for the city, with the preliminary budget being read in an emergency ordinance when the regular council meeting will take place.
Seven other items are on the agenda but the proposed third reading and vote on a lease with Marion General Hospital is not expected to occur. Instead, council is expected to agree to a delay as a search for a consultant is completed.
A collective bargaining agreement between the city and the fraternal order of police is expected to be heard as well as two appointments by Mayor Scott Schertzer to the Airport Commission.
