A fire that caused several thousand dollars in damage to a house on Mary Street is being called suspicious.

Firefighters were called to the house at 12:30 AM after witnesses reported a structure fire.

The house, which is owned by Goodwill Industries, was unoccupied.

Damage from the fire, which was extinguished by 13 firefighters in 20 minutes, was estimated at $20,000.
