Little Wee Pop – entries postmarked by July 26. One toddler between the ages of 6 and 23 months will be chosen as Little Wee Pop on Saturday, August 9 at Marion Harding High School. The pageant begins at 9:30 a.m.; and Little Wee Pops will be judged on formalwear and photogenic, so contestants will need an unframed 8 x 10 photo. Mr. and Miss Wee Pop – entries postmarked by July 26 for the August 9 pageant. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, at Marion Harding High School, one boy and one girl between the ages of 2 – 5 years of age will be Mr. and Miss Wee Pop. The Wee Pop contestants will be judged in formalwear, costume with a popcorn theme and swimwear with a popcorn theme. Miss Teeny Pop – deadline July 27. The Sunday, August 17, pageant will take place at River Valley High School, 9:30 a.m., and is open to girls aged 6 – 12 as of August 17, 2008. Contestants will be judged in modeling, talent, and a commercial regarding the Popcorn Festival. There is a separate photogenic contest, as well.

Ms. Marion Popcorn Festival – deadline August 1. A new pageant this year, it will be held Sunday, August 10, at 5:00 p.m. at Marion Harding High School. It is open to women, married or unmarried, ages 35 and older. There will be three age categories, and the contest will consist of an interview, evening gown competition; casual wear, on-stage question, and popcorn wear – which may consist of anything popcorn related to concert wear for the festival to a crazy costume decorated with popcorn. There will not be a swimwear or talent requirement.

Although the entry deadlines for Miss Marion Popcorn Festival and Miss Teen Popcorn Festival have already passed, these competitions will take place on Saturday, August 9, at Marion Harding High School beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend all Marion Popcorn Festival pageants. There is a small admission charge at the door to help defray the expenses of renting the facilities.
