A Toledo man pleaded guilty Wednesday morning to trafficking and now faces mandatory prison time.
Dario Williamson, 31, of Toledo was scheduled to stand trial next Monday on two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and one count of trafficking in cocaine. However, Williamson appeared before Common Pleas Judge Robert Davidson and pleaded guilty to all three charges.
Sentencing will be held at a later date following a pre-sentence investigation. Williamson faces a mandatory prison term of between three and ten years on the most serious charge.
Williamson sold ecstasy and crack cocaine in two separate transactions in February to an undercover operative working under the supervision of the Marmet Drug Task Force. The transactions were arranged in Marion, but the operative picked up the drugs from Williamson in Toledo on each occasion.
Williamson was arrested shortly thereafter on unrelated charges in Toledo. Williamson was indicted in April and has remained in custody at the Multi-County Correctional Center since May. Williamson will remain in custody until sentencing, and then will be transported to the Correctional Reception Center in Orient.
