The Marion/Delaware County Alzheimer’s Memorial Walk 2008 will be held at the Marion County Fairgrounds on September 20th, 2008.
The event was created by the Alzheimer’s Association. There are 78 chapters nationwide, including one in central Ohio.
Registration is free for the event.
The association suggests asking three people to walk, who will ask three people each, and so on. Walkers then ask for donation.
Proceeds from the event benefit area support groups, a 24/7 Helpline, information from alz.org, the Outlook newsletter, Community education, and awareness efforts, as well as medical research.
The Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, started in 1979 as an informal group of volunteers and caregivers concerned about the care provided for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease.
