With the current economy, everybody could use a free car, including the Marion City Police Department.
The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Ohio Traffic Safety Office is holding its sixth car give-away for 32 law enforcement agencies throughout the state that participated in Ohio’s national safety mobilizations and went above and beyond in their efforts to keep Ohioans safe. Marion City is one of those agencies.
Each agency will draw a key and try to start a police cruiser. Two agencies will receive the lucky key that starts the car and will then receive a cruiser for their use.
The event will be held at the Enforcement Expo at the Columbus Convention Center this afternoon.
Other central Ohio agencies that will be participating in the chance to win one of the two police cars include the Crawford and Union County Sheriff’s Departments.
