Darrell Ashba Jr., 27 of New Bloomington, faces several misdemeanor charges after a sheriff's deputy says he ran into his home after an attempted traffic stop.

Ashba was observed by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Wheeler driving without headlights and failing to yield at a stop sign. When Deputy Wheeler initiated a traffic stop, Ashba dumped his motorcycle and ran into his home at 315 S. Main Street.

Deputy Wheeler quickly arrested Ashba who was taken to the Multi County Correctional Facility where he faces charges of Driving Under the Influence, Driving Under Suspension, Failure to Comply, Obstruction Official Business, and the traffic violations.
