Tip Nets Three Arrests In Alleged Burglary

08-15-2008  Article by:

Three men are awaiting charges today after allegedly breaking into a garage. An anonymous caller tipped off the Marion City Police Department that three subjects had broken into the garage in the 400 block of Cherry Street.

Responding officers found signs of forced entry and the three men still inside.

Arrested on charges of breaking and entering, receiving stolen property, and possession of criminal tools were Frank Steffey, Jr., 18; Dale Bloomfield, 24; and Christopher Grant, 43.

“This incident is a great example of how citizens can make difference in our community while still maintaining anonymity,” said Lt. Mike Shade in a press release.

Citizens are reminding they can keep their identities unknown while reporting a crime by calling 375-TIPS.
