Arrested were 29-year-old David Zier for possession of drug paraphernalia, permitting drug abuse, and two counts of possession of heroin and 28-year old Shane Kitts for possession of heroin.

A female who was with Kitts and Zier swallowed an unknown amount of heroin and she was transported to the Marion General Hospital. Charges of possession of heroin and tampering with evidence will be submitted to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

The MARMET-METRICH Drug Task Force was assisted on this drug investigation by additional officers from both departments as well as the Marion County Adult Probation Department and the Adult Parole Authority.
