A Marion man was killed Wednesday in a crash on State Route 4 in Delaware County. The two-car crash occurred north of Hoskins Road just after 9:00 a.m. when a 1990 Honda Civic, driven by Donald L. Snyder, 71, struck the rear of a stopped dump truck.
Aaron Swartz was a passenger in the Snyder vehicle. He was flown to Ohio State University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Snyder was flown to Grant Medical Center where his status was unavailable as of Wednesday evening.
Investigators say Swartz was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the dump truck, 56-year-old Wayne Couch of Alvada, was not injured.
The crash, which closed State Route 4 down for almost three hours, is still under investigation.
