A meeting will be held tonight (Thursday) to discuss the implementation of a county-wide reverse 9-1-1 program.
A reverse 9-1-1 system can alert residents to breaking news like weather, accidents, or other emergencies.
It works by contacting phone numbers, pagers, PDA’s, and email accounts to those affected.
The price would run about 50 cents per person.
The discussion will be held at the Pleasant Senior Center, 1036 Owens Road, Thursday, June 11 at 7 PM.
