For those interested in participating in the 2009 Miss Teen Popcorn Pageant, there will be an informational meeting Sunday, June 14, 2:00 p.m., at Primrose Retirement Communities, 1550 Wellness Drive in Marion (off Barks Road behind the YMCA) to review all aspects of the program. Applications will be accepted through July 15, and are available on the Festival’s web site, www.popcornfestival.com.

Miss Teen Popcorn contestants must be aged 13 through a senior in high school.

The categories of competition are gown, talent, anything popcorn, and an on-stage question. There will also be an optional photogenic contest which is completely separate and the results of which will have no bearing on the Miss Teen Popcorn outcome.

All participants must also live, work or go to school in Marion, Crawford, Delaware, Hardin, Morrow, Union, and Wyandot counties.
