Teresa “Terri” DeTano has joined Marion General Hospital’s administrative staff, filling the position of director of quality services and clinical education.

DeTano’s clinical practice as a respiratory therapist combined with her administrative background as vice president of ancillary services at Morrow County Hospital will serve the hospital’s needs in this position well. While at Morrow County, she was responsible for staff development/education, risk quality, patient safety, organizational accreditation, and administrative responsibility for several clinical and ancillary support departments.

Her director position at Marion General will provide her with the opportunity to collaborate with other OhioHealth member hospitals in establishing best practices for these areas of responsibility. As a certified risk manager focused on quality and safety, she helped established a very successful program at Morrow County Hospital in addition to working in close collaboration with physicians on their Medical Staff Peer Review Program.
