If you have not paid your property taxes, time is running out.
Marion County Chief Deputy Treasurer Jan Draper is reminding property owners that second half 2008 real estate taxes are due by Saturday, June 20th.
Taxes may be paid by mail, at most Marion County Banks, or at the Treasurer’s office, located in the Marion County Building, 222 West Center Street.
The office will not be open on Saturday, but US postmark will be accepted as on time and without penalty.
Any mail received with a postmark after June 20th will be subjected to a penalty.
Taxpayers who have not received their bill should contact the Treasurer’s office immediately at 223-4030.
