Art Show Features Antique Cars, Music

06-22-2009  Article by:

Celebrate Summer is coming this weekend and two new additions are expected to attract car enthusiasts and musical lovers.

Along with the usual displays of art, wine tasting, children’s art tent and the sidewalk chalk drawing contest are two new additions.

A Pre World War II Historic Car and Truck Show is expected to draw up to 200 entries from several states.  Included in the show will be a 1922 Pierce Arrow, a luxury car once owned by President Warren Harding.

Also new this year is the Organ Grinder’s Convention.  20-50 of the musical entertainers and their collectable musical devices are expected to converge on downtown Marion.

Celebrate Summer is in its 17th year and will run from 10 AM to 6 PM this Saturday in downtown Marion.
