The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man selling counterfeit goods at the Marion County Fair.

On the first day of the festivities, the sheriff’s office was alerted to a man suspected of selling counterfeit Coach purses, wallets, and handbags inside the Coliseum.

The suspect selling the items fled the area in a white mini van possibly with a Florida registration.  Over 150 suspected counterfeit purses, wallets, and handbags were seized that the suspect left behind. The suspect was described as an Asian male, small build, with multiple ear piercing.

Anyone with information regarding the counterfeit items or the suspect is asked to call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 382-8244 or call the TIPS line at 375-TIPS (8477).
