Charges are continuing to mount against a Marion man originally accused of groping two girls Sunday in Ontario, Ohio.

Charles Vanbuskirk was arrested after allegedly inappropriately touching an 8-year-old and 10-year-old girl. After he was arrested in Ontario, police there say they found a knife and a baby doll in his car.

He posted bond and returned to his Marion residence on Fairwood Avenue.

Late Monday night, that residence was the scene of a search warrant as investigators took away computers and CD’s they say contain thousands of images of child pornography.

“It’s hard to estimate how many exactly. We have hundreds of cd’s with up to 1,000 images each,” Lieutenant BJ Gruber said.

Vanbuskirk is currently being held on 9 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and tampering with evidence. Those charges are expected to grow in number, perhaps reaching in the hundreds. He remains in jail with bail set at $500,000.

“We’ve spent a considerably amount of time looking statewide, working closely with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Center,” Gruber added.
