A Pleasant Middle School student has been diagnosed with H1N1 Flu. Superintendent Steve Larcomb sent out a notice to parents informing them of the H1N1 confirmation, the first of its kind in Marion County schools.
“We are taking additional disinfecting precautions within each school building and on our buses,” the notification stated.
Larcomb went on to add that any child showing flu-like symptoms, especially a fever, should be kept home.
Experts are predicting a substantial increase in swine flu cases this fall after the World Health Organization declared the virus a pandemic in July.
