The Marion Harding Presidents Marching Band is seeking the public’s help in purchasing a new trailer for their equipment.
The 130-member band currently has a tractor-trailer rig that requires a tractor and a driver in possession of a CDL license. It also has required extensive repairs recently.
The proposed new trailer would be 38-feet long and would not require a CDL-licensed driver. Its cost is $40,000 of which about $30,000 has been raised.
In 2007, the community helped raise over $56,000 for new uniforms for the band.
