As the winter months envelop Marion, Columbia Gas will be raising prices, although not to previous high levels. Actually, not even close.
The company will raise rates in November to 56 cents per 100 cubic feet of gas, which is 7 cents more than October’s rates.
The price does not include taxes and fees.
The rate equals out to about $61.10 for the average customer.
Still, compared to one year ago, the new price is welcomed.
In November of 2008 the price was $1.19 per 100 cubic feet with the average customer paying $97.15.
