Mark Davis, M.D., family practice physician and active member of the medical staff at Marion General Hospital, was recently presented with a Jana Banks Award for Clinical Excellence by Premier Health Care Services. This award is designed to highlight health care providers who have been recognized as providing excellent clinical care in a specific emergency department encounter.

Dr. Davis has 17 years of emergency medicine experience and is board certified in emergency medicine and family practice. He is also a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor, a NREMT-Paramedic, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor, State EMS Instructor and is trained in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

He was nominated for the Jana Banks Award by Dr. Eric Hansen, medical director for Morrow County Hospital, who shared the inside story of the care given to victims of a multi-trauma accident.

Dr. Davis has been a Premier Health Care Services physician since July 1992, and along with caring for patients in his family practice office in Marion, he keeps his emergency skills current by working in the emergency department at Morrow County Hospital.
