On October 1, 2009, the Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted the fifth annual “Capture The Moment History Dinner.” The dinner featured four panelists who told stories of their family’s history in Marion. The DVD is now available for sale.
The DVD can be purchased for $10.00 per copy at the Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, 1713 Marion-Mt. Gilead Rd., in the Mallard Square. All proceeds for this year’s DVD will go to Marion Harding High School’s Digital Media. The digital media students filmed and produced the completed DVD.
The 2009 dinner guests heard from panelists: Jim Waddell and his family association with Waddell Village Children’s Home; Judge Tom Jenkins who highlighted being a Judge in Marion for twenty-four years; Steve Jenkins who shared Henney & Cooper retail history; and Bob Dowd who recalled stock market stories of his office in the Hotel Harding.
DVDs of the past four years are also available for purchase.
