Local H1N1 Clinics Scheduled This Week

11-04-2009  Article by:

The Marion City and County Health Departments will be holding an H1N1 clinic today, tomorrow, and Friday at the Marion County Health Department, located in the public health wing of Marion General Hospital.

Vaccines are available from 2-7 PM.

The clinic is only for infants and children between 6 months and 4 years old. They will only receive the nasal mist.

Pregnant women will also receive the vaccine in the form of a shot.

The H1N1 Influenza vaccinations will be free of charge.

For more information on H1N1 Influenza vaccine availability, call (740) 387-6520 and press #3. Another source of information on H1N1 Influenza can be found at www.cdc.gov and click on the H1N1 link.

A screening process will be set-up and those not in one of the high risk subgroups identified will be turned away. Please note that we are not able to offer the non-preservative injectible at this time. We will only be able to offer the vaccine while the supply lasts.

Health Officials are asking anyone with a State I.D. or driver’s license bring these to the clinic to quicken the registration process.
