A mainstay at the Marion Centre is leaving.

Borders Group Incorporated said on Thursday they will be closing 200 Waldenbooks stores throughout the country.

16 of those will be in Ohio, including the one located in the former Southland Mall.

The company is hoping the closings will make the chain more profitable.

Stores are also closing at the Polaris Fashion Place and Heath.
