Scott Allen Watkins, 53, lived in Greenwood, Indiana formerly from Marion and Columbus.

Personal Information: Scott was born June 5th, 1956 in Cleveland to Marjorie (Hummel) Watkins and the late William E. Watkins. He graduated from River Valley High School in 1974 and was class Valedictorian. He earned a bachelors degree from The Ohio State University, after extra studies and two years of medical school also at OSU, he received a master’s degree from the University of Indiana. He then took a post graduate research position with the University of Indiana, before starting at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, where he was working as an associate senior bio-chemist. Scott treasured family and was proud of his work accomplishments with cancer research. Intelligent, with an appetite for knowledge, he enjoyed the sciences and computer science. A teacher, who was known to be sarcastic, he was the consummate office teaser. A big Kid at heart, he adored all children, especially his nieces and nephews, who will miss him greatly.
Survived By: Scott’s mother survives him along with one brother: Mark (Stephanie) Watkins of Columbus, one sister: Nancy (David) Schwartz of Atlanta, Georgia, nieces and nephews: Daniel, Kalyssa, Amanda, Trace, Kira, and Kitano, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.
Funeral Services: DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home is assisting the family. Funeral services will be Sunday November 8th, 2009 at 4 p.m. at the Café Auditorium of the Xenos Christian Fellowship, 1340 Community Park Drive Columbus 43229. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
