Date: She died Friday, April 25th, 2008 at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, after a courageous lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.

Survived By: Samantha's mother and step-father: Ricia and Brian Hay survive her along with her father and step-mother: George and Sherry Smith, seven sisters, one brother, her grandparents, great-grandmother, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who loved her. Her grandfather: Wayne Miller and grandmother: Lavina Smith preceded her in death.
Funeral Services: Denzer-Farison-Hottinger and Snyder Funeral Home, in Marion, is handling the arrangements. Graveside services will be held Friday. May 2nd, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Agosta Cemetery, New Bloomington, with Edward Hay officiating. Friends may call Thursday, May 1st, 2008 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Denzer-Farison-Hottinger and Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302.
