The River Valley runner took first place in the 800 meter run on Saturday almost a year after finishing 2^nd in the same race.

Ridgedale's Ethan Lucas was the only other area competitor to reach the podium, finishing 8th in the discus event.

Lucas' teammates finished 12th in the 4x200 and 15th in the 4x100.

Harding's Sarah Woodrum just missed qualifying for the 400 meter finals, actually finishing with a better time than the 8th place qualifier, Alanna Dawkins of Columbus.  Woodrum though, ran in heat 1 in the prelims, finishing fifth while the top four in each heat moved on.
