The Marion Mayhem will make the playoffs after all.

Despite finishing third in the Atlantic Conference, Western Division, the Mayhem will play at least one more game following a strange turn of events.

Rochester, the defending Continental Indoor Football League champions, quit the league on Sunday after a dispute over money.

The dispute came after the Flint Phantoms no-showed a game in Rochester.  Rochester called the league office to recoup money from a security fund fee.  League officials said Rochester could only get $4,800 of their $10,000 fee back due to unpaid fines, previous run ins with officials, and missing items from a hotel in Marion.

To add insult onto injury, Rochester was the only team in the league to submit the fee.

As Rochester quit the league, the Mayhem will now play the Saginaw Sting this Saturday at 7:30 in Michigan.

The Mayhem lost to Saginaw in a close week 2 game 54-48.
