Listen to the Rails: Marion, Crossroads of History Exhibit

Thursday, June 4th through Sunday, October 26th, the Marion County Historical Society will have an exhibit called Listen to the Rails: Marion, Crossroads of History.  This will feature the history of railroads in Marion and Marion County.  There will be model trains, Civil War, WWI and WWII re-enactors; representatives fro the Depot Rail Museum, and Event Facility, free refreshments and more.  There will also be a kid’s hands-on exhibit complete with train whistles, toy trains and information and activities from Operation Lifesaver, North America’s rail safety education program.  Local railroad memorabilia collectors and retired Erie railroad employees will be on display throughout Heritage Hall Atrium.  For more information or to make a reservation, call 740-387-4255.
