Marion Technical College and Custom Catering by OK Cafe’ are presenting a Valentine’s Wine and Dine event. The wine tasting, dinner party, and silent auction on Saturday, February 11, is to raise funds to benefit student financial aid programs.

OSUM Students Holding Beats for Budapest

The Ohio State University at Marion’s French Club, Le Cercle Francais, will present Beats for Budapest, Thursday, January 26, 7:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall Auditorium.  This unique concert event will help raise funds for students’ taking part in the campus’s upcoming Central European Study Tour.

Wrestling Event to Raise Funds, Food for Local Groups

Sports Entertainment and Renegade Championship Wrestling are coming to Marion on Saturday, December 17. Funds and food raised by the event will go towards the Boys and Girls Club of Marion County and the Victory Center Food Pantry.

The AtLee Family will be having a Christmas Craft and Bake Sale on December 16th at 6:30pm. This fundraiser for Integrated Community Development International(ICDI) will take place at the Marion Grace Brethren Church in Marion, Ohio.

Star Helps Community Celebrate the Season

The Star Players, Inc. will present their annual Christmas Cabaret, Thursday, December 15, 7 p.m. at the Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Avenue Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

The show brings together local talent, including some Marion residents, performing their favorite traditional Christmas carols, as well as a few unique songs to celebrate the season, all interwoven with the feeling of community and family.

bluefusion entertainment hosted its third annual Holly Jolly Holiday party on Saturday, December 10. The event served as a fundraiser for Heart of Ohio Mentoring and raised several hundred dollars for the agency and its programs.

Local Online Forum Raising Funds to Sponsor Youth Team

The Mid-Ohio Speakeasy, an online forum based in Marion dedicated to local events, opinion writing, and free speech, is holding a fund raiser to sponsor a little league team with Marion’s  Baseball for Youth program for the 2012 season. The Mid-Ohio Speakeasy hopes to raise at least $250 by Friday, February 10, 2012 to cover the cost of sponsorship. Site members will then be able to vote on a name for the team.

Christmas Craft Bazaar this Saturday

Kingston Residence of Marion is sponsoring a Christmas Craft Bazaar on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Some the items offered will be scented candles, crocheted items, slate paintings, handmade ornaments, quilts, baked goods, jewelry and other items.

Tri-Rivers Opens Santa’s Lil’Shoppe

Santa’s Lil‘ Shoppe will open its doors at Tri-Rivers starting today. Santa’s Lil’ Shoppe provides a place for kids to buy gifts for Mom, Dad, Grandparents, siblings and friends. Parents can bring their children in and Tri-Rivers’ “elves” will help them do their holiday shopping at the budget the parent sets.
