The United Way of Marion County believes that we all win when everyone in our community thrives. It’s up to all of us to work together to ensure that youth start and graduate from school on time, families have the tools they need to become financially stable, and local citizens have access to healthcare.

|Free Seminar Offered for Local Nonprofit Board Members

The United Way of Marion County, in partnership with the Marion Community Foundation, Holbrook & Manter, CPA’s and State Attorney General Mike DeWine’s office, is hosting an informational seminar geared toward local nonprofit board members on November 17th, 2011 from 9:00am to noon at TRECA, 100 Executive Drive, Marion.
bluefusion Party Raises Funds for United Way
|bluefusion entertainment held a fundraiser and Halloween Boo-Tacular party on October 29, 2011, raising over $500 towards the United Way of Marion County’s fundraising campaign. The event included lots of contests and prize winners.
Trade Halloween Candy for Gift Certificates
|The United Way of Marion County and Pioneering Healthy Communities, a health initiative in Marion, have been working together to address and reduce childhood obesity. Towards that end, they are offering to trade gift certificates for your Halloween candy.
OSUM Team Wins Wing Eating Contest
|bluefusion Hosting Halloween Boo-Tacular Party
|bluefusion entertainment, 1340 Mt. Vernon Avenue in Marion, is hosting a Halloween Boo-Tacular Party and fundraiser. The Boo-Tacular party will take place on Saturday October 29th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at bluefusion. The event serves as a fundraiser for the United Way of Marion County.
United Way Provides Fundraising Update at Kiwanis
|The Marion Noon Kiwanis hosted the United Way of Marion County last week to hear about their 2011 fundraising campaign. The agency is hoping to raise over a million dollars to provide funding to dozens of community organizations and programs.
Free Program Offered to Help Families
|Marion County Family and Children First will be holding a Strengthening Families Program for families with children ages 6-10. Parents/Caregivers and their children will attend seven sessions of family activities focused on building communication.
United Way Campaign Kicks Off 2011 Fundraising
|The United Way of Marion County's annual campaign officially kicked off on Thursday, September 15th. The event, in conjunction with Marion Area Chamber’s Business After Hours, was hosted by TRECA.
Earlier in the day Marion County Commissioners issued a proclamation, encouraging United Way to “continue its fine work.” United Way 2011 Campaign Chair, Scott Yancey, announced that the organization had set a goal of $1,020,000, almost all of which will be funneled back into the Marion economy.
