 “Being and becoming Christian” series

Friends: This is the last installment of the series. For the past two plus years we have been studying about being and becoming Christian. To those of you who have read these installments, I thank you. May God richly prosper you and may many people find the kingdom of God because of your work in the Great Commission. A new series will begin next week.

Part 100

“Our new walk in the world.”

The Father has been healing, equipping and envisioning the next generation of leaders in the body of Christ. Help us spread the message of the Father’s love all around the world.

As I sit down to write this last part of the current study, a hospital helicopter is flying overhead. Someone’s life is in great danger. Because we see and hear the emergency flight coming in, our senses immediately pick up on the fact that a life is in danger. Actually, there are thousands of lives in great danger all of the time, and most of them are going to Hell. We now can do something about it.

Not everyone we preach to will accept Christ as their personal Savior. Some will even taunt us with jokes and accusations. Don’t let that bother you. For every soul baptized into Christ a chorus of angels sing in heaven. You now are equipped to see healings, salvations, and even miracles.

You will be so blessed by the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit that you will never want to look back at your old life. You will continue to grow at a rapid rate as you seek out life changing teaching. The Father has already blessed us so much, and will continue to do so with revelation and His love. His power and love will be demonstrated in and through you. Besides worship and Bible study, what is going on in your heart really matters.

My goal is to see leaders created whose hearts are pure and know how to minister and flow in the power of the Holy Spirit that comes from the Bible and the Father’s love. There is a lot going on out there in the world. Churches need you. They need your help, your skills, and your ability to love the ugly and prepare the yielded. We need to impact the hearts of pastors, leaders and lay people who see the way we walk.

The world is crying out for the love of God. “Being and Becoming Christian” we have prepared ourselves to bring an environment filled with the Father’s love to hurting people. There are thousands of young people who really need and want to come, have and encounter, and know God. You can help make that happen.

First, we need to build an environment where God is in the house. We must make a place where people can study and also soak in the Father’s love.  It’s not the music or certain songs. God does want us to sing a new song for Him as an audience of One. There is no doubt about that. But what we need the most is the impartation of the Fathers’ love that we can take to the nation.

I want to thank you for believing in what I write and will continue to write, and for your prayers and e-mails that continue to encourage me.

Church is not complicated

Over the years I have wondered if all the church confusion was not created to keep people away. Church, in and of itself, is not that complicated. In a recent book by Angie Ward “Church is Simple. No, Really” she states that “Churches with a simple process for reaching and maturing people are expanding the Kingdom.” That makes sense to me.

Ward adds that, “many churches and church leaders are not sure who they are” and respond by implementing an array of programs from many church models. She continues the simple church model avoids this by streamlining the discipleship protocol which begins with clarity,” a process which is easily understood by the people.

The second step of a Simple Church movement is defined as the sequential steps in the process that causes people to move to greater areas of commitment. The key is removing the unnecessary programs the cause congestion in the church. “A thriving church will only allow programming that is strategic, sequential, and results in movement toward the end goal. Changes in the lives of people are expected,” write the authors.

Numeric growth doesn’t always mean Spiritual growth and vice versa. A lady told me the other day that her church was the “best undiscovered secret” with only about 20 active members. There are unanswered questions that only God can answer about church size. What we do know is that when “God is in the house” people grow closer together and closer to the Father.

One Person At A Time

John Arnott of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship wrote “Nations are changed one person at a time as the Kingdom of God spreads from one person to another. Why not the strategy of Jesus by training evangelists who will go and bring the Kingdom of God to the hungry and the hurting as Wesley did?

I’ve noticed certain church meetings picking up momentum as individual church members are seen praying and preparing for the next service. When the Holy Spirit honors meetings like this with His presence and revival is happening, whatever you do keep going. Momentum builds as more and more people are curious to come see what is going on.

Don’t let the momentum stop

Don’t let the momentum stop by ending the meetings at the end of a week or until another time. The best way is to go full out and keep going one day, one meeting, at a time until you have achieved a lasting impact. Are you willing to go out and give away what you have received? Image the affect of the River of God flowing in a small town that now clings to Godly values.

Religion is routine. Many are tired of losing their young to college and big city values that omit a close relationship with God. Why send your children to a college that doesn’t believe in Christ. Why let schools teach our kids to drink and waste their lives worshipping the wrong things in the wrong crowd. The Bible makes it clear … Only what’s done for God will last.”

A pastor is already in the River can be ready to give away the power of the presence of God. When miracles happen, families will be appreciative of it and keep coming back for more of God. People who become aware of the goodness of the Lord will no longer resist the gospel.

Finally; are you among those the enemy has tricked into being content with a small measure of what God has prepared for you? Like many people, for a long time I was cheated out of receiving much of the presence and power that Jesus so willingly wants to impart. You can unwhittingly embrace the lies of the enemy. For many years I settled for less of God’s presence than he was willing to impart. God wants to impart a powerful part of His Spirit in us. In John 7:37, Jesus teaches that whoever believes ands thirsts should come to Him and Drink, resulting in “streams of living water that will flow from within,”

Again, in Luke 11:13 we are told that the Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.

INSPIRATION: “If then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?” (Luke 11:13).
