October 4, 2005

The Marion County Ministerial Association met at the Lee Street Presbyterian Church on October 4 2005 at 8:30 A.M. with greetings and Introductions by Pres. Dan Kiger.

Pastor Gale Green, let us in prayer for opening devotions.

The program theme was "Preparing churches for released prisoners" with presentations by Jay Glaunert, from the Adult Parole authority, for Citizens Circles, who explained its wholistic approach to rehabilitations, and by Scott Platt, from Exodus who explained the faith-based reentry program that begins while folks are still incarcerated.

Dues are $18. It was suggested that you could round it up to $25, and that would pay for the coffee and doughnuts for the year.

Next month’s program will be on the Parish Nurse Program by Carol Columber from Emanuel Lutheran and Nichole Liston from Abundant Life.
