Ridgedale to Stage The Wizard of Oz

Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Palace Theatre as Ridgedale students perform The Wizard of Oz on Friday, February 25th and Saturday, February 26th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 27th at 2 p.m.

The cast includes elementary, junior high and senior high students, under the direction of Thom Richards, and Kristi Wink, Choreographer.

This classical, beloved musical brings with it delightful costumes, familiar songs that include “We're Off to See the Wizard”, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, and “Follow the Yellow Brick Road”, and dances such as the jitterbug. The well-known story by L. Frank Baum transforms a Kansas country girl, Dorothy Gale and her friends into a fantastical journey to the land of Oz. The show is exciting from beginning to end.

The Ridgedale students and staff appreciate all the community support – both financially and creatively – which they have received.

Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $6 for students 17 and younger, and $5 for Seniors (60 and above). All tickets are general admission and can be purchased at the door or by calling Beth Meadows at 740-360-1060, or Ridgedale High School at 740-383-2167, ext. 400.
