Nominations Sought for Outstanding Service Award
The Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is accepting nominations for the Customer Service Star Award, to be presented to one individual who meets the application criteria of providing outstanding service to customers.
The Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is in the business of bringing people to Marion as a destination. But once visitors get here, the Marion CVB is dependent on the employers and employees of the area hotels, restaurants, gift shops, gas stations and other frontline service oriented businesses to make Marion visitors feel at home.
“We want to highlight those individuals who are the best at making visitors “feel right at home,” states Diane Watson, director of the Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
If you know of someone you feel has given you excellent service and should be commended publicly for such, pick up a form at the bureau’s office at 1713 Marion-Mt. Gilead Rd., Suite 110 (Mallard Square) and complete the details. You can also go online at www.VisitMarionOhio.com and run out a form, drop it off at the office or send it via mail, email or fax.
All completed applications should reach their office by May 6, 2011 to qualify.
Your nominee should be able to attend the annual breakfast in June hosted by the Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to honor hospitality businesses and volunteers in the travel and tourism trade locally.
Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau offers destination information to groups and individuals. You can visit www.VisitMarionOhio.com to find out more about what Marion has to offer visitors.
