The Muppets at the Palace Theatre

Marion Palace Theatre management is pleased to announce the family friendly film The Muppets (PG) will be shown on January 6, 7, and 8 at the Marion Palace Theatre. Show times are Friday at 7:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

Fandango.com describes The Muppets as a film about Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary's girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

Movie tickets at the Marion Palace Theatre are offered at affordable prices as follows: $4.00 adults, $3.00 seniors ages 62 years and older and $2.00 children ages 12 years and younger. Concession items are available for patrons and also reasonably priced: $1.00 candy, $1.50 for drinks and $1.50 for popcorn.

Movie tickets may be purchased at the Palace Theatre door, 276 W. Center St. in downtown Marion forty-five minutes before movie show time.

Information for all Palace Theatre movies, shows and tickets is also online at www.marionpalace.org.
