Police Officer’s Missing Gun Located

The Marion Police Department says that a resident has located a weapon that was lost by an officer on Monday of this week. The department had been offering a $500 reward for the return of the gun.

Major Randy Caryer said the resident called the department Friday morning saying they had found the gun by a downspout in the 300 block of North Main Street.

“The Marion Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance,” said Caryer in a media release.
